Connecting Generations to Taiwan's Time-Honored Temple Culture Through Innovative Posters and Website

Taiple is a new identity system and website crafted to offer a convenient platform for those fascinated by Taiwan's temple culture. Through our innovative typography and captivating posters, we seek to bring the audience closer to Taiple and the vibrant cultural heritage it embodies. With engaging designs, our goal is to appeal to both individuals who may not be familiar with temple culture and those who feel that temples and gods are distant from their lives, sparking their interest in exploring further.

TAIPLE FONT (English & Chinese)
Utilizing the temple's curved shape to create the "TAIPLE FONT" for the website, posters, and advertising.

POSTER
God’s illustrations and TAIPLE typography are used to promote a welcoming and well-designed god vision for the public.

Problem Statement

Taiwan's 15,000+ temples are central to its rich Taoist heritage, serving as vital community and spiritual hubs. As interest in this unique culture rises among visitors, accessibility remains an issue, particularly for younger generations and non-Chinese speakers. Existing Chinese websites cater mainly to the culturally acquainted, leaving many feeling excluded. Without an English platform and user-friendly interface, preserving and passing on these traditions becomes increasingly difficult.

FINAL SOLUTION

FIND & MATCH

Two unique options provided simultaneously

Taiple is the only platform where you can explore temples and gods even without prior information or knowledge. It matches your preferences and provides recommendations to guide you to your destination.

GOD’s EXPLORATION

Discover through captivating illustrations

If you have a specific god in mind to pray to, you can search by god to find the nearest temple. This feature not only provides brief historical information but also displays the top search results for the temple.

EMBARK WITH MAP

Discover Temples with Location Search

We've also incorporated a map function, allowing you to explore cities and learn more about Taiwan itself, as well as the locations you wish to visit. This interactive feature enhances user engagement with the temples in a more friendly manner. We aim for this function to bring joy to the audience and provide a user-friendly platform that goes beyond a traditional map.
